Spring Evening

O God, how Majestic is Your Kingdom

Birds of the air sing in the morning

And their chorus leads to the cool of evening

Magnificent and bright the sun rises

In an ensemble of brilliance it sets.

O Father, never allow us to forget this beauty

The moon rising on the horizon

Reflecting light from the sun in darkness

Lord may I shine like a full moon

Illuminating darkness by reflection of The Son.

Thank You for spring air; so sweet

And for tulips so bright

The stream running over my feet

As I reflect on this night.

Hours turn to days and days to weeks

The hunger for more makes one weak.

In times of sorrow and despair

Might I remember this sunset’s flare.

O Jesus, Thank You for blessing me

Despite my sin; dressing me.

My transgressions washed by blood

My blindness healed with mud.

May I never forget You; my Savior!

Without You, my world loses flavor!
